While most people know about loose skin, here are some lesser known things to expect if you lose 100+ pounds:
Clothing Expenses
You may have to buy 3-4 new wardrobes. You can probably skip some sizes, but may not want to buy the nice stuff until you're at your goal. Even your shoe size may go down.
Style
When you're forced to buy a new wardrobe, you'll start considering new styles that didn't fit you right before. This fashion experimentation may extend to other things like hair, jewerly, makeup, car, or furnishings.
Seasonal Awareness
Fat is like a parka. When obese, you aren't nearly as sensitive to cold and break out in a sweat at moderate temperatures. After losing weight, you get cold easier and tolerate heat better. Office A/C will likely feel too cold and even if turned to heat, you might need jackets, sweaters, or blankets indoors.
Social Awareness
You'll start getting more attention and more positive reactions from people you engage with. It's not just dating, but acquaintances and strangers. This makes you more aware of both positive and negative reactions so you'll pick up on more social nuances than before.
Confidence
Now that you're a lot slimmer, you won't be as self-conscious or have to worry about the little things like sliding by coworkers in the hallway, breaking your friends couch, or struggling in and out of a small car. Everything is easier and your size doesn't get in the way, giving you confidence to be yourself.
Adventure
Not only are you more confident and athletic, but you have done something incredible! When you realize what you overcame, you get a taste for challenges. Just don't get too crazy.
Lower Tolerance
You'll have less tolerance of people who say "I can't". Since you've done it, excuses and justifications from others sound hollow. Far from being judgmental, you understand how hard it is to change so you may try to inspire, motivate, and convince them they can do it too. Hold back some because minds change slowly.
Posture
Your body has worked hard to hold up the extra weight so when it's gone, your posture will need some adjustments based on where your body stored the fat. Posture is one of those butterfly effects... you may have uncovered a pelvic tilt, but that can effect the spine, shoulders, legs, and feet too. When correcting major posture issues, you have to learn how to stand, sit, walk, and run correctly.
